Release Notes - Webdesk - Version 4.54.0 - November 10, 2023

Important news for system administrators​

As of version 4.54, login over insecure browser connections is not allowed by default.
The only exception is http://localhost (e.g., for browser access ON the server),
To allow insecure browser connections again, the system parameter SecurityHeaderOptions.forceSameSiteNoneCookieAttribute must be set to false. It can also be set as a webdesk.properties parameter.
All existing workarounds in reverse proxies (Apache httpd, IIS) that try to modify HTTP headers in order to support both JQM apps and kiosks can be safely removed

Time Tracking​

  • [WD-16241] - The dashboard can now also be used by persons who do not use time tracking
  • [WD-15979] - The booking button (Present/Absent) on the dashboard now changes depending on the current booking state
  • [WD-15976] - The monthly journal now supports export as a CSV file
  • [WD-15978] - The monthly journal now has the option to display a special button that allows downloading several different formats with a single click
  • [WD-15883] - As of this version, the time correction supports the entry of up to a maximum of 20 intervals
  • [WD-15451] - Logs of the IF2SQL export can now be found in a separate log file (manually adjusting the log settings is a prerequisite.)
  • [WD-16203] - It is now possible to hide a process that has already been edited by one employee from all other possible processors. This feature must be set up manually.
  • [WD-16023] - A new Webdesk job "UserDataPreloader" was introduced: Features already used on the previous day (time data, project times) are loaded into the cache during the following night so that they are fully available on the next day. This must be set up by the system admin.
  • [WD-15908] - The two properties TaAbsenceReasonService.getIdsOfProductiveAbsenceReasons() and TaAbsenceReasonService.loadAllCodesWithAttendantBehavior() are now cached by the tacon.properties. However, changes to them must still be made in Webdesk.

Project Time Tracking​

  • [WD-14920] - An empty panel in the mobile view of project time tracking was removed
  • [WD-16228] - Fix for an issue in the project and time correction that caused the displayed working time of the selected day not to match the actual working time as soon as intervals were deleted in the form
  • [WD-16025] - The project and time correction now supports calculating the working time with a custom script

HR Expert​

  • [WD-15915] - Validation messages in HR Expert are now displayed correctly in the mouse tooltip when it is moved over the "Save" button

UI/UX​

  • [WD-15701] - Fix for a UI issue that caused the loading overlay to play unnecessary animations
  • [WD-15743] - Fix for a UI issue related to tables that hindered adjusting the page width in the header column as soon as the size of the menu was changed
  • [WD-15961] - UI improvement of the mobile view in the Correction Client
  • [WD-16003] - Fix for a UI issue in the mobile view of the monthly journal

System​

  • [WD-12888] - Dynamic SameSite=none support for Chrome
  • [WD-15026] - Fix for an issue in the Webdesk installer that prevented the connection to the Shark DB
  • [WD-15888] - Fix for an issue that caused NoSuchFieldExceptions to occur in the hrPersonConnector
  • [WD-11185] - Key value types can now be linked to legislations
  • [WD-13710] - Upgrade of the velocity version
  • [WD-15687] - Collective agreements are now no longer bound only to the HR module
  • [WD-15736] - Administrators can now assign the password for users without an email address
  • [WD-16018] - The PoRestEndpointJsonConnector now supports the ndjson format
  • [WD-13710] - Velocity was updated to version 2.3
