R3.4
System Requirements for Update
Due to changes in the database schema, an update is only possible from a 3.3.x version. That is, it is not possible to update from a version before 3.3 to 3.4. This leads to problems when running the update scripts and then to inconsistencies in the DB schema, which subsequently prevent the Webdesk server from starting correctly!
Webdesk Core (PO):
-
fullAjax is now enabled by default, which means that there are *NO* more page reloads. Page rendering should therefore be smoother, and with modern browsers such as Chrome also considerably faster!
-
Support for Internet Explorer 10
-
Option to configure the user menu so that only the current folder is open.
-
Improvements in the configuration of connector links
- Preview function
- Display of expected data types for supporting connectors
- Additional validations regarding primary keys
- Automatic type conversion, if recognizable by the system.
-
Decentralized Webdesk administrator
- The actions for administering persons, groups, roles and org structures can now also be used by decentralized admins
-
Improvements in authentication
- LDAP backup provider URL now available
- Bug fix: SSO now also works when LDAP goes offline as the backup provider.
- Login with email address possible (as an alternative to the username)
- Remember Me added.
-
Management of data sources
- Definition of any number of JDBC data sources
- Use of these data sources in BIRT reports, TreeTable reports or in DBConnector configs
-
Autocomplete (Suggest): Most form search fields can now also be searched with autocomplete.
-
OrgActionHandler-based actions: If the current user only has access to one OU, it is "preselected" when the search dialog is opened
-
Bug fix: Anonymous LDAP authentication possible again.
-
Person administration: it is now possible to change group memberships in the past as well.
-
Minimum requirements: on the server Java 1.6 (or Tomcat 6.x), on the client at least Internet Explorer 7
-
New connector to detect changes (DeltaWrite(Src)Connector)
Webdesk Time Management for IF6020 (TA)
- New job for sending emails for "Absent without excuse"
- Improvement/correction of the display of "Absent without excuse" in the journal and booking lists
- Bookings removed during time correction are optionally written to the invalid bookings (tacon.properties parameter: TaBookingDAO.logDeletionsToInvalidBookings=true)
- Optional display of intraday future absences ("Time correction into the future") in the attendance board and in the journal
- Saving the booking note as a 6020 correction note (and no longer as a master record field)
- Option to display booking and correction notes in the Webdesk journal in a separate column.
- Improved context menu display: Tip for the user is displayed.
- Assigning a name to alternative reporting periods within the statistics
- Collective absence request for requesting multiple multi-day absences within one request
- Job for monitoring the current working time to warn employees by email in time before they reach the daily or weekly maximum working time.
Webdesk Workflow Engine (WF)
- Workflow actions are now also available in the "Process details" view
- New job for sending emails for requests that have not been processed
- Display of the deputy in the workflow list (when a deputy supervisor processes to-dos of the colleague being represented) -> WfOptions.showDeputyHintInMyToDos = true
- Option to force the processor, using the "Review and decide" function, to go into the process details in order to approve or reject a request (only possible via direct editing of the XPDL)
- If a user has view permission over other employees in the action "Completed tasks", they can now also search specifically for the desired processor.
Webdesk Reporting (RP)
- Upgrade to BIRT 3.7.2
- New configurable TreeTable actions for flexible configuration of views (similar to Lotus Notes with twisties) against relational databases via SQL or HQL, and alternatively via scripting
- Bug fix: If a report definition contains multiple file versions, the latest file version is now always used for execution (under certain circumstances this was previously not the case)
Webdesk Groupware Integration (GW)
- Multiple groupware implementations can now run simultaneously per Webdesk system
- The user's email address can be used to differentiate which implementation should be used.
Webdesk Travel Management (TM)
- Back button in the travel wizard: Confirmation prompt asking whether the user really wants to leave the screen without saving.
- Time corrections in the travel wizard: improved usability: dates are now prefilled where sensible.
- Travel wizard: The first travel type is preselected.
- Travel wizard: Validation of odometer readings against other mileage receipts for the same vehicle.
- Subtotals for different cost types in travel wizard/overview: One subtotal per cost type (per diems, mileage allowances, receipts)
- Printing the travel overview: The expanded/collapsed state of individual subsections should be retained.
Webdesk Scheduling Module (RS):
- PDF export in the rescheduling screen
Webdesk Project Time Tracking (PTM)
- Recording and editing of project times
- Online booking of project times (start/stop)
- Management of projects, activities, customers and cost carriers
- Fine-grained assignment of rights to projects
- Flexible reporting using TreeTable reports based on view permissions or project permissions
Webdesk Mobile
- Mobile web clients for processing workflow tasks and for booking project times
- Extension of the booking client, so that it becomes possible to process additional fields for customers in the booking screen.
