Job refresh Cache

Purpose

Two current Webdesk jobs are documented under the shared Daisy article "Job Refresh Cache": the workflow job WfRefreshCache and the PTM job PtmRefreshCaches. Both are not configurable and are active in the job catalog.

WfRefreshCache

The workflow job calls the workflow service refreshCaches() and thereby refreshes the workflow caches. It is not configurable.

PtmRefreshCaches

The PTM job publishes a module clear-cache event with the module key PTM via ClearCacheEventPublisher. As a result, the PTM caches are invalidated or rebuilt via the registered cache listeners.

Usage

  • PtmRefreshCaches should be run in particular after PTM import jobs in a batch job configuration.
  • WfRefreshCache can be scheduled as a regular workflow cache refresh.
  • Neither job requires job parameters. The runtime and order of execution are determined via job scheduling or batch configuration.
